Also, before going straight to the Alumnae Panhellenic nearest you, tell your high school teachers, friends of your sister/sisters of your friends, coaches, directors, staff at your high school, women you know from your place of worship (if that applies to you), your mother's friends/your friends' moms, women from your job etc. that you are going through recruitment. If you can "discover" any alumnae that you already know, it is better to have them write you a rec because it will be more personal. Also, when you find one sorority alumna (even if she is a member of a sorority without a chapter at UCF), she will often know women from other sororities, so make sure you ask about that too. "Friend of a friend" recs are still good too. Try to find as many sorority women through your own contacts before getting recs from the APH. Even in Pennsylvania, I'm sure you can probably find some sorority alumnae.
