oooh! haha
what do you wear it with? I'm new to the whole eyeshadow thing and I want to try it..but I'm not sure. I have a pretty big company event coming up and I want to bust out my BM eyeshadows, but I'm still so new to it and don't want to look like a clown.

I think you'll do fine t*p! Many of the shadows will go on very sheer and it's easy to build up the color--or buff it down if it's too much. This even goes for really intense colors like Peacock (which just happens to buff down to a gorgeous smudging color, or make into a fantastic bold wet liner!) Just use whatever little bit is in the lid and instead of dipping into the minerals for a really light application. If you're really worried go with the lighter shades and practice a few times first.
PS--radiances make great sheer eye shadows!

would you suggest starting out w/ the "get started eyes" kit?
I'm so scared that outside of the ready-made 'kits' I won't have a clue what shades to buy with each other or what brush to use! (there are like 50 different eye brushes!!! lol)

Here are my suggestions for starting out:
Get Started Eyes is good. Nordstrom still has the Guilty Pleasures set listed, and it's just wonderful! This one also looks good, Get Started Eyes/Cheeks/Lips (Light to Medium). Stay far, far away from any of the "Meet The" color kits, with the exception of the Stones.
Great all-purpose individual colors include: Vanilla Sugar, Chenille, Nude Beach (brings on the sparkles but does buff down), Bare Skin, Heart, and Drama (buffs down beautifully and doubles well as a liner).

I wear that set with almost everything or can. If i wear it to work i usually dont put the eye shadow on as dark but may put it on slightly darker if i'm wearing it to go out with hubby.

And for an evening look, try foiling the shadows as well. Different look than wearing them dry.

I just ordered the starter kit today Will let you know how it goes. I'm a little nervous b/c my skin tone is porcelain pale-- I got the lightest shade and I hope it isn't too dark.
I have been using one of their blushes for a while-- I really like it, so we'll see...
