I only mean that he should have some type of Southern accent or at least be extra polite or something. I've lived in Maryland and Virginia, the two most Northern of the Southern states and people still had Southern accents and were extra polite. I just think that while they're playing to a bunch of the stereotypes they aren't doing two of the simplist things possible to make his character authentic.

I dunno, I'd say Dale is pretty polite... and not all southerners have thick southern accents, as evidenced by the girl who plays Frannie being from the Carolinas and not speaking with one... I myself was born in the south and raised all over before returning to South. I say y'all but I wouldn't say I have a strong Southern accent.

Dale has an accent. I can't remember if I really heard it last night or not, but I definitely noticed it last season.
P.S. I kind of don't hate Rebecca right now. She's decent sometimes. Don't like her w/ Cappie, but I feel for her in the situation.
And how was the crazy consultant not nicer to her? I mean her father's a senator, I would have thought she would have made point to be extra nice.

"Mid-Atlantic" thank you very much!!!
In Maryland...those would be fightin' words!!! Lolz...
Nah, but the accents (...or lack-there-of), don't bother me that much; southern accents vary just like any other region's, so who knows...

Yeah, I mean really...Casey and Cappie just need to cut-out sending the puppy-dog eyes to one another and just get on it, already!!!

I lived in Annapolis for three years and it was ingrained to me by teachers, friends and the media that they are Southern. I think it must vary on the area of Maryland and who your talking to.

ITA accents vary, I think Southern accents prove that to be especially true. IDK, since my only complaint about the show is the lack of distinctive accents I'll just have to let it go.
