Late Fall 2007 Rush Story

So the first parties were that tuesday I would be going to The Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink, then Sixteen Candles. I was happy that Kate and Molly who were in the same group with me.


First we walk into the Breakfast Club the room was really nice it was in room of the smaller ballrooms on campus. The girls sang as we walked in and then escorted us to a seat. The girls were really nice and talk to me like they wanted to really get to know me. I met a lot of them because they had this weird bumping system where like every two minutes they passed me on to a new girl. I had fun though.

The next group was Pretty in Pink. I thought since I had talk to so many of them at the ice cream social this would be fun and I wouldnt be nervous at all. As I walked in the girl that grabbed me off the door I had met at the social. When we sat down to talk she started to ask me my name and all the questions she had already asked me before i couldnt believe she didnt remember me. I guess she met a lot of people and forgot who i was. All the other girls I talk to were nice and bubbly almost a little to peppy that it kinda seemed fake but they were still nice Im not sure that this group was for me even though they were very popular on campus and all the girls in my group loved then.

The last party was Sixteen Candles. They had a really cute theme and they just seemed so down to earth. The first girl I talked to was really bubbly and so sweet and asked me all about my family the next girl I talked to was so funny and very different from the first girl. These girls were known for being smart and the girls you wouldnt expect to be in a sorority. I liked them so much everyone was so different yet you know that they all loved each other.

After the parties we had to rank since this was the first night no one was going to be cut so we would all go to all three parties again. My rankings were:

1. Sixteen Candles
2. The Breakfast Club
3. Pretty in Pink

I'm so sad that Pretty in Pink is not rating higher - it's my favorite.

DAY 2

I was going in with an open mind since I got invited back to every party the order for the night was Pretty in Pink, Sixteen Candles, then the Breakfast Club.


Pretty in Pink, tonight I met some new girls who were so nice. It was sisterhood night so we played a game to get to know each other. The game was fun I was really starting to like these girls a lot better. We were getting to the end of the game and the question was asked what would you change if you were president of the us one of the sisters said I would make everything Pink. hahaha i laughed so loud and said are you serious everyone just kinda looked at me it was kinda embarrassing. I should have just kept quiet. I still had fun though much better than the last time.

Sixteen Candles, I was so excited for this party I really liked these girls. they showed a video about there sisterhood that kinda made me cry. I really knew this is where I belonged. I just had a blast here we played this game where we try to find out the fun fact about one of the sisters. I found that I had a lot in common with them.


Breakfast Club,I met so many sisters it was kinda overwhelming. We played a game of clean never have i ever. It was very interesting I must say. I liked the girls ok I felt like i never made a connection with them though.


Tonight our Rho Gams prepared us that after tonight we may not be invited to parties the next night but we would get a call tomorrow afternoon if that was the case. So I ranked the parties as the following:

1. Sixteen Candles
2.Pretty in Pink
3. Breakfast Club
