Whats a pinning? I assume its like our "lavaliering?" Thats where you say that a woman is more important to you than your fraternity.

Pinning is sometimes considered the next step after lavaliering. It's where the BF gives either his badge or the fraternity's sweetheart badge. I guess a non-Greek equivalent would be a promise ring.
