Yes.
I am going there today.
Yes.
I am being sexist. (and what's the word for making fun of old people?)
Yes.
That statement is as ridiculous as the one she made about his being black or white.
Yes...
I went there!

I don't know if you realize it, but if your point is that she's a retard . . . well, be sure to say bienvenue to the extra chromosome.
DSTCHAOS is pretty spot-on - she's pointing out something pretty obvious (albeit maybe not something most white people like to confront), although it may have behooved her to take the extra step by pointing out that "hope and change" is particularly resonant because Obama is a younger, black male. For instance, Bill Richardson likely couldn't pull off the same message.
The more interesting issue, to me anyway, is the interaction between the Hispanic man's characterization of inter-minority interactions and feelings, in his mind, and the Clinton campaign's response - is this feeling broad, or just something pushed in this one particular quote?

Sig the whole point is...this shyte is ridiculous...on both sides....
"Never fix your mouth to say something that you have to apologize for later."
Last week, Hillary was a monster, this week Obama is not white enough to lead, I wonder what next week will be?
I forgot, what are the issues in this political race again?

Obama was never "white enough" to lead as far as many Dems and Repubs are concerned. People just found a different way to articulate it.
But as long as you know that Geraldine Ferraro didn't say Obama wasn't white enough.

Politics is NEVER just about politics. This is just the first time that we've had anything OTHER THAN older white males running for a key political office. Prior to this race and gender couldn't be an issue so they found other things to highlight.
If we ever have a middle to lower class person run for president (who knows how they'd fund their campaign) that would be a huge issue, too, because it's different and socioeconomic status is a symbol of something. Just like factors like gender and race (and age, since Obama's younger and has been accused of lacking experience) are.

Ageist?
Is there really such a term?
seriously?
Ah well...her statement may not have been 'ridiculous' but it sure does makes the dems all the way around look a whole hell of a lot more ridiculous.
I hear that soon we will hear from Gary Hart as he weighs in on Spitzer's downfall and speaks on Obama's campaign...that should be a treat.

Yes.
Ageism is a term and if you were actually doing something more profound than trying to "prove a point" you could be an "ageist."
