Are they any large festivals in area? CA girl here, so don't know.
I did an event planning certificate program a few years back and a few people did their internships at major fairs/festivals, like for music and food.
Just google it, type Omaha, or Nebraska, festivals, fairs etc. Large ones often have paid staff that isn't that large and would love help. The event sites usually have an email link.
