He almost punched the dad. It was the episode where the mom moved back in with the family when she got out of rehab and she went to the school to walk the kids home and the son got teased about it.
And it's not just the son, they don't discipline the daughter either. She talks to the adults in/out the house with such disrespect! The only one that really came close to telling her about herself was the aunt! That's the only thing about the show that me and Hubby cannot stand. I don't know of any household (esp Af-Am) where the kids do what those kids are doing and no one's picking themselves off the floor or have lost any teeth after they got the taste smacked out of them.

You haven't been around enough. I'm not proud of it, but I can name several (including my own). The representation is quite accurate from over here.
I'm now almost caught up and I think the show's definitely better than it was when it first started. Plus, I'm excited to see Janine back in the picture. I hope they get back together because that marriage shouldn't have ended so quickly. I understand CJ was protecting his children, but he should never have walked away from his wife and started bringing other women around his kids in such a short amount of time.

Yes. It's still on. 4 shows come on every Wednesday night. This is probably the ONLY sitcom that I have sat through and have NOT laughed or at least giggled one time. I've even giggled when I watched an episode of Seinfeld.
Wow!
The tv is on TBS, but that's about it. What are my options on Wednesday at that time?

OMG! That little girl is way out of line for a child. They let her act as if she is a grown up! No ma'am! That would not fly with my parents! But I guess it is different strokes for different folks. But she has been like that form the very beginning! Even when it was on Channel 20 (UPN) the first time the little girl was like that.

This is exactly why I stopped watching the show after a few weeks.

Until the strike is over, I think our only choice is to let TBS watch us for two hours!

I stopped then as well. However, since the strike isn't over, I resorted to "watching" the show. The lil girl works my nerves. If they reunite CJ and his ex-wife... (smile).
Tyler has great topics, but the actors try too hard with their delivery, IMO.

I sat through two hours of House of Payne-ful last night and did not so much as crack a smile.
There have been plenty of times where I have been tickled by Everybody Loves Raymond.
