It already *is* a holiday - in Suffolk County (which is where Boston, Massachusetts is). Only it's called Evacuation Day, celebrating the evacuation of the British from the City of Boston on March 17, 1776. George Washington watched from Dorchester Heights as the British left the city by sea.
