Proposition 3-17

Make St. Patrick's Day an official holiday!

Come on- you know you want St. Pat's to be a holiday! I like the "Reasons I signed" particularly "I signed because saying 'kiss me I'm Irish' is the only line I've got going for me." Classic!

Ideally, I would love 3/18 as a holiday. Then people could nurse their hangovers and lick their wounds at home! :D

It already *is* a holiday - in Suffolk County (which is where Boston, Massachusetts is). Only it's called Evacuation Day, celebrating the evacuation of the British from the City of Boston on March 17, 1776. George Washington watched from Dorchester Heights as the British left the city by sea.

Oh, and that or He is the one who enabables you to post that!

So, it must be Thomas Jefferson as he also had a pony tail?

Way ahead of his time!

Well, the horse had nothing to do with my right of Free Speech (or expression).

But neither did the framers (as a group) of the original Constitution who specifically rejected including a bill of rights.

Those first ten amendments, including the rights mentioned above came later.

That's often misunderstood by among the brightest.

I posted the picture, so I know exactly who it is and what it represents.

That said...

In 2004, I posted that pictures somewhere else with this caption: George W. and John Kerry.

In retrospect, with approval ratings of around 30% for one particular "George W." I wonder which would be considered which.

"In retrospect..." being the operative words.
