Doesn't Baylor have a Sigma Kappa chapter?

It is based on junior hours. I know several girls went to summer school and took lots of hours so they would be classified as a jr. and not a soph. at the end of this semster. By school standards they are a jr, probably in their mind and others they are just a Soph. It a good way of getting in a sorority if you had been through rush before or didn't go through your Freshman year because you didn't make grades. You have to have a 2.5 the first semester to go through rush but most sororites want at least a 2.75. It is no secret the Tri-Delt and Chi Omega want a 3.0. They generally cut these girls after the first round of parties this GPA which is based on your first sememster and transfer grades don't count. Ex summer school at a jr. college. At Baylor you can't even be a cheerleader until you have completed 12 hours with a 2.5
Same applies to fraternities. It was a big topic of discussion at my house during Christmas who did and didn't make grades.

So being a junior or having junior status is actually an advantage at Baylor?

We used to, but not anymore.

KD and Chi-O are the other two off that list.

(I have no clue how either did, FTR.)

In the DG forum, ADDG reported that DG at SMU pledged 52 women and quota was 52.

Kappa Kappa Gamma at UC Santa Cruz has 10 new members! We are having a COB like event for people who couldn't come to the last event of recruitment, so I might be updating that number.

Btw, we're a baby chapter. Our Gamma class brings us to 38 members!

Both Chi Omega and A Chi O are at Baylor they both made quota. Don't know about KD. No DG at Baylor. It was there when I was there and left in the 80's I think. Rumor has it they are coming back but who knows if and when. I have a friend who was a DG at Baylor.

From what I understand Jr. do not count against quota. Soph count as two. Since you have to have 12 hrs and a 2.5 to go through Recruitment at Baylor an email went out to verify if any girl was going through the first time and happened to have Soph. status do to hs AP courses, IB programs and hs dual credit. They wanted to make sure you were classified right. Which I assumed they were counting you as a freshman. Clear as mud, right.

Juniors did not count towards quota at A&M either but each chapter was only allowed to take 3, not 9 or 10.
