I suggest you contact Epsilon Sigma Alpha or one of the other community based sororities and become involved with one of those. It will give you the sisterhood that you want as well as the community service that you want.

Nothing against Epsilon Sigma Alpha, but I get the feeling that that organization might not be (good?) enough for the OP.
