Just a little story from my recruitment--my BFF and I ended up preffing the same houses and thought we were going to go the same way (rating the more prestigious house #1) and in the end, I went with a house that I clicked with more. On bid day, I felt so confused, should I have joined the same house as her, why didn't I...etc). Well, I felt so much better a day later when we were having so much fun in my new chapter. It was home to me. Meanwhile, she was NOT having as good a time. In fact, the entire NM period, she was wondering if she had not made the wrong choice. The girls in her house were rather cold and unfriendly. She eventually made good friends in her NM class and it all worked out, but I always think to myself, thank goodness I chose from the heart.
