This thread sounds good already. go Callie, and there really should have been Addison instead of Bailey, imo.
ps.. your friend, the one who wrote here already, mind telling us who she is? you said it would be easy to figure out, and I think i have... did she end up having to rush twice?????

Okay Day 1
The first chapter i went to was Callie, and everything i had heard seemed to be true. they were so cute. the girls seemed like they really loved eachother and they were just so peppy! i thought, may actually a little too peppy for me. i tend to be a little cynical. anyway, the girl who i started talking to Lauren, was amazing. She wanted to go to the same grad school as me, to specialize in the same thing. It was funny cause seeing the whole chapter together, i realized that maybe 5 girls where "heavy". I think its just cause of their name that people wanna call them the "fat sorority". But there were a lot of really thin girls in the chapter, but the vast majority had average bodies.
Then I went to Meredith. I didnt see what all the hype was about. People claimed that Meredith was one of the two best houses but to me, the seemed a little boring, and honestly... i dont think they liked each other that much. Their recruitment chair mad this little speech at the end, and stumbled on her word and the girls (her sisters) rolled their eyes in this very bitchy way. It was a major contrast to what i saw with the Callies
Christina.... all i remember was being VERY BORED. I felt like i was trying to start the conversation and in respone i got "yes, no, psychology" i was like... umm... okay. i didnt really know what to do, and toword the end, i just stood there. They were wearing me out!
Bailey- I really did not want to go to this party because of what i had heard about how dull they were but after Christina, i figured, anything was an upgrade. The craziest part was that i actually really liked this house. The girls were so cute. I felt like they really loved their chapter. Bailey's didnt look like my friends from back home, but they reminded me of them. I especially bonded with one girl, Michelle, over Sex and the City, which is pretty much the most amazing show ever. I really felt a connection with this chapter, but could not get what i had heard out of my head.
Last, was Izzy. I was so nervous about going to this one. Especially after everything i had heard about the hazing and superficial stuff. Basically i was told that if you dont look like you could be Homecoming Queen, you dont have a shot. So i walked in, and of course everyone started walking toward me ( like at every chapter i visited) and i got paired off with Sarah. OMG... she was amazing. We had a great conversation which was surprising cause i was so tired, with this being the last house and all. But it was like i was talking to my (biological) sister. Everything flowed so well, and we got on the topic of politics ( i know... so bad!) and she slipped and said something that if i were on the other side of the political spectrum, would have taken very offensively, but since i totally agreed with her, it just made us giggle even more.
next day is a four party

So did you rank after this round, or do you cut a chapter if necessary after seeing all of your invites?

Or Sigma Delta Tau, which also resembles "EAT". That description though actually made me think of Phi Mu, which I've heard referred to as "Phi Moo". We don't have a Phi Mu chapter at my school, but all the Phi Mus I know nationally are quite slim.... go figure.

haha, Sigma Alpha Tau, also known as Owls, is a sorority at Otterbein College, founded in 1910. http://www.otterbein.edu/studentlife/greek/frat_sor.asp
To the OP: Hope everything is going groovy for you!

There are more sororities whose names can be twisted as the "fat" sorority, but I'd rather not give anyone else any ideas.

If you did mean Sigma Delta Tau, as a sister I'm insulted greatly. Not all SDT sisters are fat by any means. Please, think before you post something that insults people, you wouldn't like people insulting your sorority would you?

Sorry it took me so long to update. its been a busy couple of days...
So the next day I found out which houses had invited me back. If all the houses did, then i would have to cut one. Well, all the houses did, and i of course cut Christina. i really was not feeling anything at that house except boredom and i knew i did not want to go back for another day.
The first house i went to that day was Izzy. This time i got paired with Nadia and boy had i heard things about Nadia. She was one of the very well known Izzy girls. I had seen her around campus many times (always with a different designer bag) and big sunglasses, and i always thought of how she had this air about her, as if she was better then everyone else. But i have to admit, i really liked talking to her. I found out that she wanted to be a teacher for low income students and i was wow, didnt see that one coming. I really enjoyed our conversation with her and the other girls who i had talked to that day.
Next I went to Meredith. Once again, i was like felt that they were so fake. I know its rush, but everything we talked about was so superficial, like what bracelet one Meredith got from her boyfriend for Christmas and how she really wanted a different one, blah blah. I felt like they were genuinely interested in me but i didnt really feel a connection with them. Then again, they were one of the "top houses" and it means a lot to be a Meredith on my campus.
Callie was next. Once again, i saw that they were really close and seemed to have an amazing sisterhood. Throughout the event they were laughing and hugging each other and seemed to be having a really good time. but... they were so preppy! So many of them had polos and popped collars with pearls. Not really my style, but i did like them...
Bailey was the last house i went to that day. I had an AMAZING TIME! i loved the baliey girls. they seemed so authentic and nice to me. But what would people say when i wore Bailey letters around campus? especially since they were known as the "default sorority"... but still they were pretty awesome girls and i could see my self hanging out and watching movies with them, etc...
next day is 3 party... then pref

I know how hard it can be, and confusing, to want to like a chapter that has a lot of campus prestige, even though you don't sense as much of a connection. But in the end, what matters most that it means a lot to YOU to be in a house. I'm glad that you are having fun through the process.

I can't help rooting for the underdog. Maybe you could be the one to turn Bailey around and make people realize what a great house it actually is!
I can't wait to hear how this ends!
