As bad as the Big 10 was this year, according to the (good, non-crackpot) computer rankings and projection systems I've seen, the two teams are almost exactly evenly matched - this means the real difference between the two of them, on the whole, is that it's a home game for LSU.
That's about a 3-pt swing, so I'll go with something like 28-24 LSU . . . OSU should probably be able to run the ball at least a little (assuming they stay away from or double Dorsey) and their LBs should be able to contain a little, so I don't see the scoring getting too ridiculous unless LSU gets momentum early and the crowd lets them turn it into a rout. Should be an interesting match up.

LSU put up 49 against Va Tech, I don't seen anyone other than another SEC team stopping their offensive attack.

Ohio State has had quite a bit of experience with their new cheer:
"We're #2, We're #2!!!"

Please excuse me, I thought this thread discussed only two schools, but...as for my wonderful alma mater...well, the football team didn't lose a single game.

I'm not predicting an Ohio State win, but either way I don't think it will be a rout.
Remember that this was supposed to be the proverbial "rebuilding" year for the Buckeyes. Not bad considering that.

OFFENSE - Per Game Average/ NCAA RANK
Total Yards
LSU 463.1 / 18th
OSU 405.4 / 61st
Passing Yards
LSU 244.2 / 53rd
OSU 204.8 / 95th
Rushing Yards
LSU 218.9 / 13th
OSU 200.7 / 22nd
Points Scored
LSU 38.7 / 13th
OSU 32.0 / 37th
Ohio State might be the first team to be crushed in consecutive national championship games...and by two different SEC teams.
i checked out Strength of Schedule stats @ http://teamrankings.com/ncf/27confratings.php3.
the algorithm they use ranks the SEC as the toughest SoS conference. also, OSU has a -0.064 and LSU has a .03. so those stats and NCAA rankings i posted don't mention that OSU got those mediocre ratings against weaker teams and in a weaker conference.
the fact that Ohio State is even in the national championship game again illustrates the demonstrable lack of compassion the BCS system has for the self-esteem of OSU's players and the entire Big Ten.
LSU 41
OSU 14
