101 years ago we changed the Greek game forever.
I went to a candlelight vigil tonight and when we sang the hymn (I sing the hymn with my eyes closed for some reason usually) I felt a tear form. It didn't drop but it started barely. Twas spooky indeed. Not the first time I've had good cries because of Alpha though.

I get like that sometimes too, when singing our hymn. Usually it's a little dust in my eye LOL*denial*

How fitting is it that this is the first day it has snowed in Chicago and its coming down hard.

Congratulations on 100 + 1

Belated congrats - I saw the thread title, and figured it was going to be like an introductory course to Alpha Phi Alpha! ( the whole "101" thing)

When I FIRST heard the hymn as an aspirant was at Mu Lambda's Founders' Day Luncheon in 2002.... omg, I sooooo almost wept.

I cry for a lot of things, but I never had a good Alpha emotional moment..... until my boy crossed in Boston this past Spring.

<----- a wreck.

lol

Cheers lads, here's to another 101!

(incidentally, I thought this was going to be like, A Phi A basic info, as in "Algebra 101". Sorry, brain not functioning at this time.)
