Alpha Phi Alpha 101

I can't say enough how much I love my bruhs!!! From those who came before, to those who are still phrozen behind the ears, your dedication to the aims our Jewels set forth 101 years ago continues to inspire. I say this every year (for the past 4 and a half years at least). I could write pages about how important this day is, but I'll just let actions do the talking. Thanks for being Frat.

I couldn't have said it better! Even with my 8 months of being a brother the experience is like no other.

Enjoy the celebration, my brothers! My literal brother who is also an Alpha was proudly repping today, too. You have a beautiful legacy : )

I went to a candlelight vigil tonight and when we sang the hymn (I sing the hymn with my eyes closed for some reason usually) I felt a tear form. It didn't drop but it started barely. Twas spooky indeed. Not the first time I've had good cries because of Alpha though.

Happy Founders Day Frat!

I get like that sometimes too, when singing our hymn. Usually it's a little dust in my eye LOL*denial*

How fitting is it that this is the first day it has snowed in Chicago and its coming down hard.

Belated congrats - I saw the thread title, and figured it was going to be like an introductory course to Alpha Phi Alpha! ( the whole "101" thing)

When I FIRST heard the hymn as an aspirant was at Mu Lambda's Founders' Day Luncheon in 2002.... omg, I sooooo almost wept.

I cry for a lot of things, but I never had a good Alpha emotional moment..... until my boy crossed in Boston this past Spring.

<----- a wreck.

lol
