Lynette and McClusky went to Lynette's house. That was definitely the Scavo's bathtub. Remember they tried to run back across to McCLusky's but there was too much debris flying around? Lynette grabbed McClusky and went into her own house. She screams because McClusky's house is demolished. If you read the CNN article, it quotes Marc Cherry saying that they only house they actually destroyed was the McClusky house. The rest are damaged but OK.
And there is another death. The narration in the beginning said one woman would lose a husband, and they all would lose a friend. Crazy lady wasn't a friend to any of our 4 leads. Heck, none of them knew she existed except for Bree.

My mistake. I'll need to watch it again tonight because I missed the part where the debris was flying. I don't think Crazy Lady was the "friend" that would die. According to the spoilers, it's Ina that is killed.
We probably won't know the outcome for a while due to the Writer's Strike

I just don't understand this. Especially if what you posted earlier is true (that the episode has already been taped). Are the producers wanting to use last night's episode as the season finale, and the already taped one as next season's premier? Is that why they're uncertain of the air date? Granted, I'm not in the know about all things Hollywood, but I just don't see the logic behind not airing an episode that has already been taped, and crediting that to the writer's strike.

As a father and husband, I didn't think that was strange at all. I'd probably call for everyone before it was over, but I'd call for my wife first.

Sweeps month is over, and most networks show re-runs during December. Under normal circumstances, the next episode would probably be aired in January -- they use the second-half of these two episode cliff-hangers to hook people back in after the holidays. But with the strike, they may wait longer so as not to show one new episode followed by re-runs.

Good job! And my guess is that: Ms. McClusky will realize that had she still been in the house, probably near Ina, she too would have been killed. Lynette essentially saved her by getting her away.

All I can is HOLY COW. The show sure didn't do a half-a$$ed tornado episode -- they went all out! I had no idea they were going to make it THAT bad in the end.

I read one article today that told how they sent the crew to thrift shops to purchase dressers and furniture, and sent trucks to construction sites to gather lumber. And, they did destroy some of the set. All of this to make it very realistic.

That's what I saw. But the episode recap on abc.com ends like this:
Finally all is quiet on Wisteria Lane. Bree is shocked to find her house has been badly damaged, but Lynette screams in horror when she sees that hers has been completely destroyed.
Anyway I'm sure the Scavos are ok. I wonder if Carlos is going to have legal trouble based on evidence of his fight with the mayor. And I was about to say "What are Carlos and Gaby going to do now that they're broke again?" but then I realized Gaby will probably get all of the mayor's money!

If I remember, didn't Victor just break up with someone (or was still married to someone) when he and Gaby started seeing each other. This is when Gaby stole a dress from the closet. I'm sure she won't get his money handed to her. They will probably throw in a pre-nup for good measure.

TV Guide said the same. BUT, I watched it again tonight and it was Mrs. McCluskey's house that was destroyed.

The show's EP said it was Mrs. McCluskey's. Which explains (spoiler alert) the dead of Ida .

WHOA!!! Spoilers
Spoilers, so I put them in white text --
All the spoilers that I had read said Tom would be paralyzed, but when he came out from the rubble walking, I knew that couldn't be it... but it turned out to be CARLOS who is blind! AND Al (that accountant guy) died in the tornado... and his widow shredded all off-shore acct info to protect him.
WHOA!

The whole dinner set up with Andrew and the gay contractor was hilarious...until Susan came downstairs and ruined THE WHOLE FREAKIN SCENE for me. I'm so tired of her. She's a completely ridiculous, unreal character.
Anyway, Orson continues to grow on me, and I think he had the line of the episode tonight: "He's here, he's queer, we're used to it!" (about Andrew)

Ok, so I was a little emotional with the whole scenes regarding Ida. I think Gaby's relationship with Victor's jerk of a father is just beginning though....

Yea that scene was super funny.
Re: The note, I'm not sure what was said on it... I hope we find out soon b/c I'm tired of the whole "secrets" thing with that family already.
Anyone have any guesses ?
