Brotherhood Retreat
I am from Zeta Pi at Texas Tech and I am the chaplain for our organization. I was wondering if you had any suggestions on some brotherhood activities that really brought your chapter together. Thanks and have a good one.

We usually do a camping trip sometime in the middle of the candidate process for the entire brotherhood. We'll find a nice place in the middle of nowhere where we can make as much noise as we want, bring tents and sleeping bags. We make a fire, bbq and drink and share stories and hang out.
This costs almost nothing, and is always a big hit. It also has alot of potential for expansion. You can do senior "roasts" around the fire, interfamily tug of war / dodgeball ("familys" of big/little brothers and their "relatives" compete against eachother).
Hope this helps!

WE did camping also.
We also did a brotherhood night/roast night at the house where we shut down and close up just for brothers. Families sit together, drink fam drinks, go around the room and talk.... Usually a little later in the night we'd always break down and let in lady friends to party

Well we did that this semester and it was a blast, we played dodgeball, camped out, did the smoker (cool thing we do), and just talk and have fun together. But it gets a tit bit nippy in the Panhandle of Texas.

One thing we do at Zeta Kappa is have what's called "One brick at a time." What you do is set up groups every week (mix it up and break up the "clicks", set up older brothers with younger brothers, brothers who wouldn't usually do things together, the point is to really mix it up and make sure to include candidate) and they all have to get together sometime duing the week and do something (bowling, min golf, movie whatever they want as long as its together!) and change the groups every week. At the end of the month you have a huge brotherhood event and everyone does something together. It works out great, you hang out with people you'd normally wouldn't, break up clicks, and builds a stronger brotherhood.
Hopefully that made sense and is something you guys might want to try.

Yeah I tried to implement it too late this semester, but that is an awesome idea and I like that name.
