Earthquakes are the weirdest experiences. The big one we had here in Seattle in 2001 (I think a 7.0) was wild...the floor really felt like it was rolling.

I remember hearing about that one. I also remember when Chicago had one way back when. It's interesting to hear accounts from people who aren't used to them. What folks seem to forget is that there are fault lines all over the US but some are a lot more active than others.
