Wohoo, another earthquake

Hehe, felt it on the 29th floor of the building. It was fun, traffic was hell though.

I heard about this, this morning. So scary, I'm glad you are ok and no one got hurt.

How's the (tsunami) warning system there?

Jeez. My most amazing friend from high school is there right now and I'm very grateful he posted a bulletin on his myspace letting us know he's o.k.

Scary as hell!

We had a minor one over here in Riverside (3.9 I think) and it woke me up but I went right back to sleep after.

How crazy. And now with the tsunami warnings in Kenya because of it. And TWO tropical depressions starting within minutes of one another near the US... just a CRAZY weather/natural disaster day.

Did anyone besides ME feel the one last night? I was @ my job on the 19th floor and it rumbled and rolled..and I barreled out of there. It took me less than 2 minutes to fly down the 19 stories ( I kid you not). It hit @ 8:04pm and there were not a lot of people in the building which is why I got out so quickly (plus I used to run track and running stairs was part of the training). It was registered 5.6 and on the Calavaris Fault. Not here in the city but there have be several after shocks too.

I felt it!

I was at home and it was rather intense there so I was quite glad I wasn't at work. I heard it maybe a split second before the shaking started. The rumble of the actual house shaking and things inside moving. When the house didn't stop shaking, I bolted for a doorway (door jam) until it stopped. What gets me is the waiting for possible aftershocks. Every time I hear something that I can't right away recognize, say a large truck going by outside, my adrenalin started pumping thinking it might be an aftershock. It usually takes a while before I stop reacting to normal sounds thinking it's another quake.
