When I got engaged I really enjoyed getting heartfelt cards. I know it's small, but I love them, and I still have them actually.

I always like it because it gives the bride-to-be some "real" food to know how to cook as opposed to the sometimes difficult (but delicious!) things in the fancy cookbooks we all end up registering for (or getting either way.)

When my roommate from college had her shower, her grandmother gave her a huge box filled with all of her recipes on large index cards. She had been putting one together for each of her granddaughters. I thought it was the sweetest thing ever!

Love it! Maybe if you have a picture you could put it in the frame, too. OR a collage of different pictures/ etc.
