Don't your kids' schools have liason (sp?) officers in them? I remember in high school we always had a liason officer in school, and he was a city officer.

Yes, the school our kids attended had a full time deputy sheriff in the building during school hours, and at many major events and meetings.

However, Columbine did (does) as well.

No single law officer would probably be able to stop a well planned terrorist attack, but neither could an armed teacher or teachers. The key word here is "planned." That's why we employ Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Teams.
