I'd take an "ineffective" one over one who tries (successfully, alas) to extend the powers of the executive branch, Constitution be damned. I see one of the biggest problems in politics today as being the near-worship of the staus quo. The "things may be bad, but there is nothing we can do.That is the way things are" mentality means we get candidates who are afraid to be leaders, or advance radical ideas. I'm ready for someone to shake things up - if nothing else, maybe it will get other politicans to think - hey, I can dream - and start a real discussion about issues, as opposed to feeding the masses what the focus groups say they want to hear.

I wouldn't necessarily argue with that, although I think that much of what Paul wants to do based on his "constitutionalism" is not actually grounded in the Constitution.

But this is a discussion that belongs in News and Politics, not in a Greek Life thread about candidate's Greek connections.
