Dorian Haywood's character switched the babies when he was in the nursery. The wife had a hard labor so she was out of it for the first two days but he was there every day. He knew their baby was sick and didn't want his wife to deal with a sick baby after all they went through to get pregnant.

The other father was trying to stay detached because the little girl was sick and that's what Cooper was mad at him for. But their real baby is healthy.

ohhhhhhhhh. So, are they going to get their baby? I mean is she, since he's going to the slammer?

Yup they switched back and you could see the original sick girl's mother having a very hard time with giving up Emily. So they were sharing stuff on what makes them sleepy. The healthy girl's original mom sang Madonna to her and the other mom was saying she is fussy and a crier because I guess her condition.
