That's exactly why my family left Hawaii in the 80s. No need for the quotations marks with low. It *is* low, compared to what it costs living here.
When you add up the numbers of the former Hawaii residents in Las Vegas PLUS the number of current Hawaii residents who take frequent vacations (including my own parents, who visit every 2-3 months), it's no wonder they call Las Vegas "the 9th Hawaiian Island."
12,000 Hawaii fans at Sam Boyd Stadium last Saturday (including my parents). Makes me wish I tagged along now.
