Since they said Cappy's name was ironic, I'm guessing his name is Kappa. Which would really be bizarre, especially for a guy.
Has anyone kept count on how many majors he's been?

It was supposed to be ironic for hippie parents. I'm thinking something kind war or military like.

No, but I had a TON myself. I never realized it until people started pointing it out to me. Granted, I graduated with three degrees (5yr plan plus some summer sessions). But either way, I don't consider it bad. To each his own.
And I don't think Dale will ever Rush anything. His character is there to show that there's life outside of the Greek world. It's also interesting because he's a faith-based character, paralleling the immorality of not only Greek life, but college life in general. And IF he does Rush, I don't think he'll go through with it, I just can't see him selling out like that (not selling out in my terms, but for him).

I think they meant that his nick-name is ironic because he is a Kappa (Tau Gamma). I assume that Cappie is a nick-name unrelated to his real name -- perhaps the one given him as a pledge, since all the Kappa Tau Gammas seem to have nick-names.

I figured that it's a nod to Animal House and this exchange at the disciplinary hearing:
Otter: Point of parliamentary procedure!
Hoover: Don't screw around, they're serious this time!
Otter: Take it easy, I'm pre-law.
Boon: I thought you were pre-med.
Otter: What's the difference?

I'm thinking Cappie's real name might be Evan, too.

Spoilers abound, read at your own risk:
Rusty/Jen: Rusty and Jen split up. There's an article that comes out in the CRU paper that's an expose in the Greek system and ZBZ gets slammed in particular. The author is Jen, who went undercover as a pledge to write the story. It causes Rusty and Jen to break up.
Evan/Casey: They also split up. I'm not sure of the exact circumstances but Evan discovers that Casey's "we're even" involved her sleeping with Cappie and he dumps her in a particularly public and humiliating fashion.
Casey vs. Frannie: Part of the Greek expose reveals that Frannie played fast and loose with the ZBZ finances. She's removed as president and Casey becomes interim president.
Cappie/Rebecca: They hook up. They have a fling over the semester break and Rebecca breaks it off before school starts again but there is reluctance in ending the fling on both their parts. This is in the sides for episode 111 or 201, depending on how ABC Family wants to promote it.
Calvin: His secret is out to everyone and he drops out as a pledge. Evan is totally behind getting him to come back but some brothers are worried he may get drunk and hit on them. No, seriously. That's also in the 111/201 sides.
Dale: After the expose, the Greeks have to struggle to regain their social status. They throw a back to school carnival and the ZBZ's run a kissing booth. Dale tries to get a kiss from Casey. Wackiness ensues. This is in the 111/201 sides.
Repeated by a writer for TV Guide: (Spoiler alert) In addition to three breakups, a mole is discovered in the one of the houses, Calvin is betrayed by someone close to him, a major character's secret is exposed, and special guest star Charisma Carpenter predictably steals every scene she's in. I can't wait for second semester!
Now of course some of these could be totally wrong, BUT talk about crazy!!

Oh my gosh-you might be onto something with this because he said it was kind of ironic to name him that since his parents were hippies....
He hates Evan (Casey's boyfriend) and Evan means "Young Warrior" as a Welsh name...so, that would be ext. ironic...don't you think???
I'm gonna' say that dukemama called it!!!

but how is that ironic? Unless Evan is an ultra hippy name, how would his first name be ironic b/c his parents were hippies?
