Actually, it's just plain old Greek. It spells
MHTHR (
meter), the older Greek form of the word meaning "mother" (and the source of the Latin
mater).
Tau + Eta =/= "th" in Greek -- that's what Theta is for. If you want to get something phonetically close to "mother" using Greek letters,
MOQER would be perhaps be the closest.
