Maybe I missed something in earlier posts...what chapters can still participate in COB? My daughter ended up dropping out

, but she's signed up for COB. Also, did any chapter do snap bidding?

The groups that can still COB are those that are under campus total. You should probably contact the Greek Life office to see which these are.

I will preface my comments by saying that KD at Alabama is very strong. This year freshman quota was 73. KD originally had 52 women on their bid list. They have since picked up 16 and have a pledge class of 68. They have an excellent pledge class and will be fine. I guess they will need to work on rush for next year.

That can certainly be a wake-up call. I know we've all had chapters in that situation.

Let me say this I have absolutely no first hand knowledge aside from the undeniable fact that KD is an incredibly fantastic and strong Chapter on this campus. I can only imagine that they are taking a very close look at how and why it happened. Though kudos to them for their "snappy" attitude!

Let me close by saying how incredibly impressed I am with Gamma Phi. Bravo ladies! Well done! I'm filled with Panhellenic pride!

So does that mean only 52 girls matched up with them as first choice?

If 52 is how many pledges they had after Bid Matching, they went to the bottom of their Bid List and didn't fill quota. I'm sure they had more than 52 at the pref parties -- no one gets 100% return after pref.

Wow congrats to all the new members at Bama & all the sororities for doing a fabulous job. We could only dream about those types of numbers here up north.

Well, the concept of snap bidding is so those who didn't get a bid can still be picked up and included in the Bid Class, without anyone knowing. COB is your daughter's way to go now.
