So, I think it was a lovely piece. But I think the backstory made people think it was a lot better than it really was. I mean, they did a good job and all, but I don't think people would have been as moved by it and thought it was so great if the intro piece had just said, "It's about reunion." I enjoyed it, but didn't think it was as great as everyone else did.
The Boradway and QuickStep comments - they aren't actually similar at all. Those 2 pieces just happened to be similar. The Quickstep is a couples dance and has a lot to do with the posture/hold and rhythmic foot movement. Broadway can be anyting. That piece happened to be fast and have some "swing" type movements like that particular quickstep had. If it had been more like a number from West Side Story, it would have looked completely different from the Quickstep perfromed.
All that said, I'd like Lauren and Dom or Neil to go home.

Agreed, but don't you think the choreographers already had the dances done, so knowing that they would be similar, they should have separated them?

That's a good point - but I wonder if they have any clue what the others are doing? The show should make a point of it, but with only a week in between live shows and the busy lives the choreographers have outside of this show, maybe they don't get them on the same page?
Glad Sarah and Dom are gone. Would have preferred it being Lauren, but I think next week is her week.
Also, random note, the red-headed lady who assists the ballroom guy (she also danced with Pasha when his partner got sick) was on What Not To Wear. She seemed really funny and cool on that, but she seems a bit bitchy on this show...Maybe b/c they give the assts. no recognition!

i think the choreographers have a few dances in their head for the week and then decide which one to use when they know which dancers they have. like i think the rhumba would have been a different piece if lacey or pasha had picked it.

I was sad to see Sara go, but if she didn't go this week, she would've gone next week.

I was thinking the same thing.
Lauren is my next obvious girl to go, but I don't know which of the guys should go. I dislike Danny's personality, but he's a beautiful dancer.

I wish the judges would critique the solos, too.
I really didn't understand the hype over Danny & Lauren's contemporary routine. It started out good, but then they wasted all that time running up the stairs and across the catwalk. I hope they both go next.

I wasn't as impressed with the dances this year as I was last year. I wasn't wowed by any of them the way I was last year with the Heidi/Benji Salsa and the Travis/Benji Hip Hop.
What was up with Wade's fox routine??? Random.
I want Sabra to win but I think it will be Lacey.

i love them all and hate that there can be only one winner. i do like lacey the least however-she plays to the camera too much for my liking.
did you all like the fox dance she and sabra did? my family loved it and even my husband got it-maybe all those years having to attend his sisters ballet recitals paid off.

I wasn't a Benji fan last year (I don't appreciate solo swing), but I LOVED Travis. This year I liked Lacey the most for a long time (despite my swing distaste), but now I don't know who I want to win, prob not Lacey though.
Sabra's just awesome... And then Neil and Danny both have that amazing male dancer thing, were everything they do just looks beautiful and amazing. I actually like the two guys better. And between them, I like Danny's technique, but Neil's personality.
