I keep thinking, though, didn't they look all scarred and starved? Definitely, most adoptive families we've met are great but we have seen some really sketchy looking foster parents. We've known some nice ones but we went to a foster parent training and were horrified because most of the candidates looked like they'd been in the movie "Deliverance" and acted like it too.
Other adoptive parents we know have seen the same thing at foster trainings and some have walked out. Children's and Family Services will tell you they're desperate for foster parents but come on, they don't have to endanger the children.
