Exacly. The first pin was a K (for kappa) with a shape in the shame of a sigma intwined with it. They are really original, I think, and we now use them as our pledge pins. I have yet to see anything like them.

It's actually a lot different from our shild, but I like to look at the design as simplistic elegance. After we started using the triangle instead of the now present pledge pin, we have never strayed from the design. I wish I had a picture of the scroll edges (unjeweled) on the badge, it's beautiful. Funny thing is, As much as I love it, my pin is pearls with Ruby points.
