What would UT and A & M do if they didn't have each other to pick on?

Wasn’t UT’s first mascot a dog? I know I’ve read that somewhere before.

My hatred for Oklahoma and Texas Tech is much worse than A&M.

Tech is probably the worst out of all three. I absolutely despise everything associated with that school, not including friends that go there, haha.

Vick sentenced to 23 months
Suspended QB unlikely to play again until '10 season, if then

By BILL RANKIN
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Published on: 12/10/07

Richmond, Va. — Michael Vick received a 23-month prison sentence Monday for his role in a dogfighting operation.

The sentence, handed down by U.S. District Court Judge Henry E. Hudson, ended an eight month legal odyssey for Vick that saw him go from NFL star and the face of the Atlanta Falcons franchise to a prison inmate. The sentence on federal felony charges means Vick, suspended indefinitely by the NFL, won't play again until at least 2010. He still faces the league suspension. He has also been indicted in Virginia on state dogfighting charges and faces lawsuits from several banks. The Falcons are awaiting an arbitration ruling in an attempt to recoup $20 million in bonus money paid to Vick.

establishing Bad Newz Kennels, a dogfighting operation run from a house Vick owned in Surry County, Virginia. Vick faced a maximum sentence of five years. Two of the co-defendants were sentenced last week. Purnell Peace received 18 months and Quanis Phillips received 21 months. Tony Taylor will be sentenced on Friday.

Wow this post reeks of ignorance.

I think he got 23 months for sadistically brutalizing and murdering domesticated animals and funding an illegal interstate gambling ring (pretty much a racket).......which is a fairly serious felony.

.....and if you're talking about humans.....I would liken what he did to premeditated murder. I don't hear of many people getting out of prison in less than 23 months. If he did to a human what he did to those dogs he'd be on death row (at least in my state he would).

the only time someone can possibly walk in less than 23 months in a case involving the death of another person is when it is a manslaughter case. manslaughter cases do not deal with premeditated acts such as lining dogs up to kill eachother. premeditated cases in which a human dies end up with murder charges and murderers don't get out in 2 years
