I'm not really sure what else you can do...
but as a gift (I always thought that this was sweet from the Big Stone Gap books) you can give a journal.
In the series each year that they are married they write a letter to each other. They always talked about it as the characters got older it was nice to look back at the old letters each year when writing a new one to see how things have progressed.
