Anniversary Suggestions?
My husband and I are celebrating our first wedding anniversary next weekend!
Neither of us has any good ideas about what to do to celebrate (except dinner and watching wedding video). Also, we are going on a cruise as a belated anniversary vacation, so we don't want to do anything too expensive. Can anyone give us some good suggestions? Thanks in advance! |
Those Diamond Jack dinner boat cruises on the Detroit River are supposed to be really nice.
I gave my first husband concert tickets for our first anniversary because the gift is supposed to be "paper". (I left him before the concert date and kept the tickets though...) |
Happy Anniversary!
I think my husband and I just went out to dinner for our anniversary. Did you keep and freeze the top layer of your wedding cake? We did, and unfroze it for our first anniversary. It actually kept pretty well (chocolate swirl). Whatever you decide to do, have fun ;) |
Happy Anniversary--
I think my husband and I made speciality "thank notes" that we could write out to friends and family when we got simple gifts and nice gestures. As far as doing something, we went out to dinner. If you search my posts, take a bath... ;) :D |
I'm not really sure what else you can do...
but as a gift (I always thought that this was sweet from the Big Stone Gap books) you can give a journal. In the series each year that they are married they write a letter to each other. They always talked about it as the characters got older it was nice to look back at the old letters each year when writing a new one to see how things have progressed. |
Happy Anniversary!

Apple has this great thing where you take your photos, arrange them any way you like, you can add text, and they bind it into a hardbound book. Since the traditional gift is "paper' this falls into that category and is a cute keepsake, but doesn't require all the work of scrapbooking. You could do it all kinds of different ways, maybe pictures of your first year together, or go back to when you were kids, when you first met, include your wedding and honeymoon, and so on.
It depends on your software and such, but a friend recently got one for archival purposes and it it of an amazing quality. http://www.apple.com/ilife/iphoto/features/books.html |
