That's new to me! But I will say thank God - or at least about 16 air conditioning units will. I'm very interesting to see how this effects the flow of recruitment and all that jazz.

Kelly - are you going to be helping this year?

I'm thinking I will be going. I have the time and probably a place to stay. I had a great time last year and I am glad to help out.

I'd be down there for sure but we start the fall term before Auburn does. Can y'all believe rush starts there in about 5 weeks?

ugh, I'm jealous...
all of our first day parties are on the same day...we have 16. it takes FOREVER and you start early in the am and finish late in the pm.

I remember when I was a PNM, we had to meet at 6:30 to get our schedules...yuuuck

16 parties in one day! Oh my gosh. My school only has 8 chapters so when I went through recruitment we went to 8 parties over 10 sessions during first round (you got time off for food) We started at like 5 pm on a friday night (after I had a full day of classes until 4 pm) and ended well after midnight.

i can't imagine having classes AND rush -- we live, breathe, and sleep recruitment and only recruitment for two weeks (I move back in to the sorority house next friday for work week! sooooo excited!)...when schools have winter/spring recruitment, do they not have a work week (a week before recruitment when the house gets together to work on projects/walkout/conversation/songs)?

Our school is not very big on Greek life. Our recruitment lasts only 3 days. Friday Night-Open House (8 parties) Saturday-Philanthropy Day (5 parties) and Sunday Late Morning/Early Afternoon-Preference (2 parties). Sunday Night-Bid Night (Everyone gets a bid)

Our Recruitment takes place about a week or 2 into school, usually the weekend AFTER Labor Day. It gives people a chance to get used to campus and classes. We do our "Work Week" the week before classes start. Keep in mind at our school I think the maximum number of girls is about 65-70 and that's a HUGE chapter.
