Ya'll are a mess.
Respect, honor, and cherish those that paved the way for others.
Doing this will not make you any less of a member of XYZ. You can still love your organization and embrace how the whole ideal came to be.
This philosophy (for me) applies in my everyday living. I will always respect my "elders" and those that in some way came before and paved the way for me and made ideals realities.
That's my personal opinion.
Oh, I forgot..."We" are all connected in some form or fashion. Don't try to deny it, accept it and move on.
