I had never heard of the book before (lately I've been reading nerdy business type books) but I'm definitely downloading this one to read before the mini-movie series happens.
Are they going to show all 6 hours in a row? Will it at least be on a weekend?

I'm lame and don't have TiVo.

well according to futon critic it looks like the first episode will be two hours and then next 4 episodes will be one hour so it looks like it might occur over 4 hours. I hope this helps.
Looking forward to the book and the movie series! I can't believe how close May is |

Anyone else watch it last night? I thought it was great. I'll definitely be DVRing it.
What's funny is that they so glamorized Malibu. Yes, the Colony is filled with Hollywood elite and you don't get through the gates without living there or being invited, but the rest of Malibu is actually pretty casual. Very common to see celebrities at the grocery store or coffee shop in tshirts and flip flops.

I watched it last night and thought it was pretty good. Looking forward to next week's episode. I'm thinking about picking up the book as I imagine that might also make for some good summer reading.

I finally got a chance to catch up on my DVR and I enjoyed the first two hours.
I haven't read the book (and probably won't because I don't get to read anymore), so I'm definitely looking forward to the next 4! I'm curious to see what happens with Lou.

In the meantime I'll keep on distracting myself with Sam and those blue eyes. |

It's really good. Just love how Debra Messing's still got the gay best friend.
I am at Cricket's (really, what kind of name is that?) husband. He's an asshole telling her she can't be with her friend, and then cheating with the nanny.

I really enjoyed it as well -- very entertaining. I think Messing is perfect for the role. Sooo what do yall think happens to Lou? Do you think he dies?
