For me, it's being able to talk about a variety of topics intelligently and without expecting everyone to have the same viewpoint as her.

Someone who can disagree constructively, without having to resort to personal attacks.

Someone who's knowledge of news and current events go beyond celebrity gossip/scandals and reality show goings-on. Those who listen to NPR and BBC is a major plus (REAL NEWS sources), along with those who keep up with economic news and/or read The Economist and Mother Jones. Again, they don't have to do all these things, but they must be aware of current news from a variety of sources, not just CNN and Fox News. But I digress....

Another major turn-on is those who have conservative family values with no feminist attitudes or traits (ex. women with hyphenated names is a red flag). Of course, those who dress conservatively is a major turn on for me; I like to be greeted at the door by a woman in a June Cleaver dress with pearls (yeah, I like AKAs ) over a woman coming to the door with Saran Wrap and stiletto heels. But that's just me, though. YMMV.

Damn, Nupe. Maybe it's just a fraternity thing, because I like the conservative look too. I love the June Cleaver look. I can't stand stilettos or clothes that look like they've been painted on. TRASH.

Naw, dude. I know plenty of Kappas that like women in stilettos and wouldn't mind be greeted at the door by his woman in saran wrap. Maybe it's just a PB and RM thing.

I was just having this conversation with my brother earlier today. I don't equate SEXY with being naked, or in tight clothes. My woman can be sexy in pajamas or anything. Sexy is the way you walk, the way you talk, and the confidence a woman has. I did used to have a thing for a woman in boots though If a woman has on a high heel with a pair of business slacks or something...then that is cool. But I don't wanna see your azz if you bend over(I might look, but you won't be my woman)!

I don't respect women that wear that crap. They think men like it but most men just want to see them with their panites around their ankles. If I brought home a woman that was dressed like anything near that, my parents would be like.

I like women who respect themselves and dress with class. Those are the ones I bring home too meet the parents.

How come when most men realize this they are usually past the college age and ready to settle down? Young men today in the 18-22 range generally run for "Saran Wrap" and stiletto clad women instead of the more conservatively dressed ones. It sends the message that female is undesireable unless half of her body is hanging out or squeezed into a tight outfit.

I've been this way(the committed type) since I hit puberty. I have never, ever liked women that wear that trash. Seriously, and I haven't changed and I won't change. Plus, a lot of young women like guys like the ones you just mentioned anyway.

OMG, you are so full of crap!

Right now I'm looking at 5 different outfits of mine that I know you wouldn't like, and I've gotten more compliments on them than I've gotten on others I wear that would fit your so called "standards". Personally, just because a woman is wearing something that's not to your "standards" doesn't make her a slut.

Joan Cleaver? You and your fraternity brother should just go and bring someones 50 year old mother home to meet your parents.

christiangirl, I like those shoes you posted. They're cute.

Thanks.

Is anyone else CTFU at the fact that she just said "Joan?" I think somebody just fused Beaver and Girlfriends.

1st of all before I even reply to your post, I'd like to know who Joan Cleaver is? (blank stare)
2nd Please don't tell me you own a pair of shoes like that.

Excuse me but 50 year old women still dress stylishly, wear stilettos, and know how to be sexy without being hoerish. In fact, they would be too much for these young Nupes to handle.
