I think choosing not to vote for a white member because she is white is wrong.
And it's hard to say "PRIVATE" when such prejudice has been publicly posted.
Stop trying to make this into a "Well YOU prefer WHEAT over RYE so don't judge me." It's not about that

So be it and so what you think it's wrong or prejudice. Now when you hear that a particular minority group has suffered at the hands of prejudice or discrimination, think back to this moment and how you feel. My decison goes deeper than the personis just white, I just don't feel I need to explain why.

Who are you to assume that I don't already take notice when prejudice occurs? And I can only operate on what you've already mentioned, which is still, IMO a prejudicial way of looking at things.

So be it, I don't think I was asking for your approval or attempted to make you feel otherwise. yes I would still vote no on your azz too.

Oh no. Now I will never be a Delta. I was just getting ready to attend an informational too. Now I will never have my dream of getting to be a member of a sorority in each council. Alas. Woe is me.
I'm not trying to change your opinion or make you seek my approval, that's never what this was about. I'm sorry that I brought it up in a thread where you were the only one who expressed that you would not vote for a white person, I tried to make it clear that it was not about YOU, but about the view in general as held by multiple NPHC members and expressed by them publicly.

First I don't think I was the only one, reread. Second the way you can't leave this thread sounds like you have something vested in NPHC intake. If you feel you are a champion of the people, take on a more important and worthy cause.

I see your point.
There are inequalities above and beyond Greekdom. That much is obvious.
Not to take anything from Drolefile overall, but I don't really see her in threads that discuss more general inequalities. Those threads tend to quickly be labeled dead horses or taboo topics by many white GCers. Yet, Drolefile's here to discuss what she perceives to be inequality during some intake processes. As if this is the vessel through which she's attacking a larger phenomenon.

....if I stated in a thread that I wouldn't accept a black man into my fraternity because he was black........you would have an absolute shit fit. I can't even imagine how many times you would pull the "shows your true colors" "you're a bigot/racist/etc" crap that you do on a regular basis.

I agree, and frankly, I find it rather sad. Frankly it sounds like a lot of these "race-based" no votes are done solely to spite and power-trip. Yes, they can vote whichever way they wish for their own personal reasons they may have, but that doesn't make them any more right then those that shut their ancestors out of mainstream orgs for those same reasons.

Nevertheless, it’s a good point. Frankly, If an IFC member were to say that the first thought that would jump into a lot of minds would be “you racist bastard,” and rightly so. Sometimes I wonder if anyone ever gets to the “not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character,” part of the I have a dream speech; or perhaps that courtesy should only go one way? But I digress.

I can’t imagine how such racism can be condoned in any such context. I have to say though, I’m certainly glad my brothers weren’t so bigoted as to vote against me because of race. But then again, I know they’re all better than that sort of nonsense.
