I think it's stupid VS charges more for a D cup. I understand it's more fabric but if you are going to price by cup size then make an A cup $3 cheaper than a B as well.
I also find that the underwires in VS bras constantly pop out - and I'm not talking about your old crappy weekend bra, I'm talking brand new ones, on a pretty regular basis. I wear a 36D or DD depending on the style, so it's not like I'm a 45D that VS doesn't fit.
I love my Wacoal bras - only $10 more for a bra that won't break and actually gives me some support without looking like a nursing bra.

If your large (read: DDD or higher) Prima Donna bras are the only way to go. While they are super expensive (you can pay $100 + for them) they are great. The feel great, they make me look great, and they are really cute and sexy.
I've been a DDD+ since end of freshman year of college and these are the only bras that fit me right and they last.
Wacol looked horrible on me after 3-4 months of wearing them...rotating them and hand washing them every night.

Absolutely agree. Victoria's Secret bras are pure crap...cheaply and poorly made, and ridiculously overpriced for the low quality.
I used to purchase all of my bras from there, because that was where everyone else I knew shopped. But after the underwires popped out, the cups started losing their shape, the straps started losing their elasticity on all of my bras after maybe 2-3 months of wear, I swore I'd never purchase another bra from VS again.
(And I take good care of my undergarments too...handwash, drip dry. Its not like I washed them in the heavy duty cycle and then dried them on high heat!)
P.S. I have a terrible time finding bras that fit properly too - 36 D (though since having my children I'm hovering close to a DD). I'd agree with whoever said that its harder to find a decent D in a smaller band size than 38. (Well, unless you're willing to pay an arm and a leg for a bra, or to purchase a crappy VS bra.)

I refuse to by VS bras anymore because of this. I had one bright pink one I didn't wear too often due to the color. I owned it for about 6 months and wore it 3-4 times in that time frame and the underwire popped out. I took it back and the store manager gave me such grief about the return. He was such an a-hole. I've just started ordering from bravissimo and they have an excellent customer service department. They are pretty pricey since the pounds to dollar conversion isn't great right now, but for a bra that fits well and is good quality it's worth it. I'd rather have 3-4 really good bras then 10 crappy ones.

This just happened to me today I have a new VS bra that I have worn literally three times, and this morning I noticed that the underwire is already popping out.

That's irritating. Speaking from experience, make sure you return it sooner rather than later or you'll face a lot of questions from the manager. They're pretty picky about the time limit for returns/exchanges.

Boo to them. If you are still in WI I know the store at Brookfield tends to be a little more lenient with returns.
I found Wacoal's on clearance last time I was at Macy's and got 3 for $100 - I was soooo happy!

Wow, I have never had trouble with Victoria's Secret, and I generally consider shopping there to be a splurge! The BEST bra I've ever owned is their Angels Secret Embrace. I also used to work at Gap Body and I was a fitting specialist so I would measure myself...and imagine my shock when I found that instead of being the 34A I'd always thought myself to be, or even the 36B I had bumped up to during pregnancy, I measured at a full THIRTY-SIX D. Crazy. The only problem is that breastfeeding causes your boobs to fluctuate a full cup size throughout the day so I round down.

I'm excited. I found the "one" bra from there that I love and I will be buying several now. I'm at the top of their size range for the style though

Ok so I have never had a bra fitting before. Where is the best place to go (and don't say VS! haha). How exactly do they do the fitting??

Go to any major dept store like Macy's, Dillards, etc., and ask the woman in the lingerie dept to measure you for bra size. She'll take a tape measure and take your measurements over your clothes to calculate bra cup and band size. It takes 2 seconds.

Gap Body is a good place to go! They just take a tape measure and measure over your clothes (if you're in a lot of layers they may ask you to take off your jacket, etc.). I'd wear a non-padded bra if you're going to have it done, just in case. You don't want to add too much oomph.

Thank you for that tip! I tried returning it at Bayshore and they were pretty much like "too bad, you're out of luck." But then I took it to Brookfield and received credit
I also tried and fell in love with Wacoal recently.
