Is there a connection between Alpha Delta Pi and Phi Mu?

An ADPi told me that Phi Mu was started because there were a group of girls (one the roomate of a founder) that didn't get into ADPi.

And that all the dancing about (oh yes, the same college, a few months apart) was to prevent embarassment over it. It seems kind of mean to me, but any truth?

All I really remember being told is that our founders were friends with one another.
I honestly don't really know, but I'm not sure I believe the "rumor" that Phi Mu's founders didn't get into ADPi so they just decided to form another sorority.

I had heard that too, from an friend who's an ADPi. I didn't want to be the first to bring it up though.
