I'm pretty sure mine does (but I'd have to go to the books to tell you what it is).
Sigma Nu does not have an age cap to the best of my knowledge... one of the brothers that was initiated 2 semesters before me is 34 and attending graduate school for Engineering Management. It may vary from chapter to chapter, however... FYI.

You're right. It's been so long since I've been active I used to have our Constitution/Bylaws and The Law nearly committed to memory.

Since then, I understand our chapter Constitution has undergone a massive rewrite while the bylaws are now absorbed into the Constitution. At any rate, I seem to vaguely recall that my chapter *had* an age limit of 26 years.

I have no idea what it is/if it is today.

I have no idea why I happened to be looking this up (I think I was looking at Barbara's bio), but recently I realized that George H. W Bush was married the whole time he was in college. He served in WWII, came back, married Babs and then went off to be DKE, Skull and Bones, and Phi Beta Kappa.

The only limited connection to this thread is that even some of the most selective groups in terms of male membership can be/were apparently permissive with older or/and or married students.

Right, but your example is for an extremely desirable, well-connected member.

Oh, totally! I didn't mean to apply that we'd all get the same consideration.*

He would have still been pretty young, actually, too, so it upon more careful consideration, it doesn't even show that there's no age limit policy.

It was just interesting and surprising to think of them married the whole time he was in school, and she didn't even go to college once they were married apparently. I'm sure that for the generation, it might have been normal, but it surprised me somehow.

*Although HW wouldn't have seemed as well connected and influential as W would have seemed having been his son, I don't think.

My now-ex husband was married to me when he served as president to a colony of Sigma Chi - and then as president of the new chapter. I think the conflict was because of his position, not so much because he was a member. I will admit - I resented the fact that the fraternity ALWAYS seemed to take precedence over me. Then again, please notice he is my ex. I think a balance can be struck - so your guy should be able to be an active member and pay attention to you. It all boils down to time management.
