Where to learn about veterans who get screwed?

Any of you know of some good resources to look at regarding veterans who get screwed when they leave the military? Perhaps they're wounded and not getting enough treatments, go hungry (this is the one I care about most), go homeless, etc.

I would really appreciate that.

Try contacting a local VFW chapter. They would probably know of some resources on that subject.

or even VA regional office.... go to www.va.gov and they can tell you were the nearest regional office is.

Local VFW's would be your best bet.

You can even try local American Legion offices.

Kentucky is screwing veterans. They are closing a VA hospital here in Lexington. Or so they say they are due to so called lack of funding.

I doubt if the state itself has anything to do with that. Veterans Hospitals are run by the Veterans Administration (VA).

I think that's the place to start, Rudey, although the vetertans groups are probably good resources, too.
