Yeah, I don't think that's double parking, that's just straddling the line.

I hate it when people cut me off, almost running me off the road, then when I honk to let them know I'm there (on the off chance they just didn't see me) they flip me off like I did something wrong. Honda's have such friendly sounding horns....I wish my horn wasn't so cheery. I want a mean horn!

That's not double parking. Double parking is when there are no parking spots available on the street, so you just stop your car in the right lane (so your car blocks the right lane, and whoever is legally parked to your right cannot get out), put it in park, get out, lock it up, and go about your business.

The folks who take up two parking spots annoy me as well. Also, the people who invent parking spots that block other drivers... Until a few months ago, I was in daily-parking hell at the commuter-rail station. People often invented parking spots that blocked the exit. Were they ticketed or towed? Nope. I had to play bumper cars on more than one occasion to get out.

1) People who make rights on red and almost hit the pedestrians who have a walk signal
2) People who don't let my bus move over to the HOV lane - hello, the driver is trying to get OUT of your way
3) People.who.stop.look.listen. and then slooooowly make a right turn with no signal
4) People who tailgate me when I go 75 in a 55 because that is not fast enough for them

This city is notorious for the exit ramp situation ZTAngel described - luckily my car is tiny so I can go around them on the shoulder! We also have awful awful tailgaters during rush hour - the other day I had to drive downtown instead of taking the bus and I was about to post a missed connection for the nice guy in the Lexus who didn't ride my ass the whole trip downtown!

My biggest one is people in the right lane during rush hour who put on their turn signal and EXPECT you to let them in. If I have to slow down to let you over, and there's only a half car lenght between me and the car in front of me (in stop & go) I'm not letting you in. There's absolutely no reason why you can't wait for a break to get into the left lane (and there will be one, because someone feels like it's ok to go 25 in a 65 zone during rushhour), it's not like there's an exit over there that you have to get to.

I also have a pet peeve that sort of works to my advantage. I hate it when the left lane is going slow and the right lane is not. Left=fast; right=slow. Not the other way around. If you're only going 57mph, don't be in the left lane. Or the left lane gets so clogged up that everyone's going slow.

But I can work with that. I just get in the right lane and crank it up to 80.

Oh, those are all good--I agree with all of you that those are infuriating. Here's one to add to the list: You are supposed to leave a car length for every ten mph, but NOT WHEN YOU ARE STOPPED!!! Pull up a little closer to the car in front of you so maybe traffic jams and road rage won't happen! I've missed making lights and exiting or turning because of these jerks! Rationally, I know their selfishness hasn't taken up too much time, but it's still an aggravation. (I'm not talking about pulling up so close that you are in the backseat of the car in front of you, but you shouldn't be able to see a runway between you and the car in front!)

What's more baffling is the people who don't pull up to the line when they are the 1st car!!! What's that all about?!? (It's not always elderly drivers either.)

People who insist on making their right turn on red into my lane as I'm barrelling down the road and have to slam on the brakes and swerve around their dumb ass. I then proceed to cut them off.

People in SUV's and Trucks that sit higher then most cars and then they drive right behind cars with their brights on. No matter how fast I go they stay on my bumper blinding me in my little car!

i hate when motorcycles weave in and out of lanes or ride between lanes. i live near a bunch of colleges and hate when the college kids dont wait for the crosswalk to change and try to run across a 6 lane highway...thats why they invented crosswalks!!! my biggest driving complaint is to see the same cop on their cell phone while driving (since its illegal in ny to do that!) that pulled me over for it once!!!!

I did a bad, bad thing yesterday. I went to Bakers Square yesterday, and in the parking lot were a group of Harley bikes. I only went in for a carry out. I was with one of my sisters and when we came out and got back into my car, I backed up, and lightly tapped one of the bikes. It was enough to knock 3 of them down and the 4th one looked like it was on it's way too. My sister screamed "OMG you just knocked over someones bike go, go, go, go!" I was getting ready to go back into Bakers Square to find the bikers but she freaked out so bad. She reach her foot over and tried to hit the gas. So I just drove off. They didn't see us, but I know they were pissed when they came out. We were so scared, and I felt kind of bad, but when we got on the freeway home, we laughed so hard. I thought I was going to miss it but that light tap did the trick. How embarrassing.

I guess bikes and I just can't live in the same world together.

-People who don't use turn signals
-Gapers delays! (ugh. HATE HATE HATE!)
-People who take up two parking spots, especially when the lot is extremely crowded as is
-People who tailgate me when I'm already going well over the speed limit and when there's no way I can move over, especially tailgaters who use their brights

Your driving skills are suspect.

While I hate people who don't use their turn signals, what I hate more is when someone uses it and then forgets to turn it off (especially on the interstate). Not only does the constant flashing irritate me, but it's a guessing game as to if they really mean to get over at any point. It seriously drives me up the wall.

Other pet peeves include tailgaters, runners of red lights, and obnoxious cell phone users. All three of these type of drivers have caused me to have wrecks.

The best one was the woman who ran a red light because she was on her cell phone and ended up hitting me and my friends causing us to spin 180 degrees, almost hitting a light pole in the process. The unbelievable part though was that after the accident she didn't even bother to end her conversation to make sure we were alright. My friend ran to her car, which was sitting in the middle of the intersection, because she hadn't gotten out, and found her just sitting in the driver seat, still on her cell phone.

haha...if you tried to leave that much space in between cars in DC, you'd have five or six cars trying to get in between you and the driver in front of you.
