Actually he died in a very heroric way, saving his students, making sure that they survive. I cried so hard when I watched it on TV. I guess when you live through the Holocaust, you see life more precious, and you would rather sacrifice yourself to save more people...I salute to the professor...

This is the first I heard of this very heroic act and I am in tears.

There is no greater act of love, duty or honor than to give up ones life so others may live.

I watched the program and also starting crying when I heard about the Holocaust survivor. I cried again when President Bush was talking about the man who passed out - he had lost his only child.

I watched it and I was rather shocked. What a completely classless individual.

......of course, Barack Obama also turned the massacre into a theme and compared it to Don Imus.

The professor that died did not only survive the Holocaust, he also survived cancer. They had mentioned how scared and grey faced he was. Just picturing him makes my heart break.


Have Cho's parents spoken up? I can't imagine what they are going through right now and I hope they have police protection.

When I answered this last night, I truly believed and meant what I said and stand behind it tonight.

However, after learning more about this Gentleman, I had another thought:
Perhaps this was his "Book". Perhaps he survived all the trials and tribulations he went through in life just for this event. That he was meant to be at that place at that time.

I think basically you can mesh the two thoughts together, that after he survived through all his tests and trials, he faced the final test to choose between sacrificing himself to save others, or to live on. He lived his life through those events, and he sees that the lives of these kids are precious for the future. And he chose his final answer at that place at that time...
