I have heard from other sisters that some pi phis were shot in norris hall, but are ok. I don't want to go too much into detail on this of course.
Emails have been getting passed back and forth between chapter members with various alum. Its all really still unfolding so more may come out. It makes me just terribly saddened that this could happen to my campus.

Just saw the update on our national website. I'm so glad they are safe and pray for the families of those injured or killed.
The AGD website states that all but one sister are accounted for but they believe that she is assisting with the rescue efforts.
ADPi still has sisters unaccounted for according to their national website.
Alpha Phi has accounted for all its members.
All TriDelta's and DG's are safe as well.

I've been worried about my Alpha Gam sisters as well as their families and those who were killed, wounded or otherwise affected.
Tonight my chapter is having the 1st ceremony for Initiation Week; we will be saying a special prayer for the Va. Tech campus.

It's my understanding the Kappas are also all safe and accounted for.
How horrible for Pi Beta Phi.

I hope they find all their sisters.
I also pray that ADPi will find theirs as well.

Caitlin Hammaren is in our thoughts and prayers. We are praying for her chapter as well.
FSU is holding a candlelight vigil tomorrow night, I'll be there, wearing my badge.

Shootings At Virginia Tech
Home News & Events Shootings At Virginia Tech
Submitted: 4/16/2007 We are following the event of the shootings at this university. While we have no confirmation, there maybe a possibility that some of our members could be involved.
We ask each of you to keep all of these victims in your thoughts and prayers.

It's interesting that there was some earlier news about the shooter and his motivation, but the officials are saying that they can't positively identify him right now. (Partially because he didn't carry any ID)
According to a someone familiar with the layout of the Norris building, it's a really basic L shape with one hallway with classrooms all along it. The windows are too narrow to get out of. These kids were sitting ducks.

Kappa Kappa Gamma seems to be reporting that all members have been contacted.
As part of the Virginia Tech community, it is with great sadness that Kappa Kappa Gamma received the news of the terrible tragedy suffered on the campus of Virginia Tech. Our thoughts and prayers are with the student, their families, friends, faculty and staff.
The Fraternity has been in contact with Zeta Mu Chapter on the Virginia Tech campus. The chapter utilized their Emergency Procedures and their phone tree to contact each member of the chapter. Members of Zeta Mu are grateful for the support from our sisterhood.

Beta Theta Pi's national site says the Betas are all okay:
http://www.thebetathetapi.org/index....=410&Itemid=43
" Virginia Tech Members OK after Shooting
. . . Chapter President Dylan Kiernan '09 comments, 'Right now we are relieved that no one from the chapter has been injured. . . .' "

VT is in my Prayers...
This is so upsetting. My HS sent a large number of people to VT with it's 2006 class. So far two of them have reported via facebook and said they're shocked but ok.
It seems they don't know much outside of rumors either.
Maybe checking your Facebooks, Myspaces, etc. would provide more information since the cell towers are jammed?
Has anyone heard a definite or consistent number of the wounded? I can't seem to find a stable number?

One of my old friends is a DZ at VTech. I cannot get ahold of her... what is the status of the girls in DZ?
