Ok...
I never said that I had any problems not seeing this.

Alphagamuga, correct me if I'm wrong but you were acknowledging that I personally had no intention of bad mouthing someone's greek affiliation because of that person, you were addressing that people who come and read this thread might form opinions of someone based on what they typed and tied that opinion with the letters in their name and formed a sterotype for all the people in that organization because of one measly comment in a forum.

Hope that makes sense...

Ok this is me saying, yes I get what your saying. I had a problem with THE PERSON who posted those things, not whatever orgaization they were affiliated with. I never once said anything about "you greeks" or "you XYZ's" Did I? I simply said wouldn't it be nice for those who have that simplemindedness to form instant opinions on a whole group of people based on one persons comments, to not be able to see the greek letters in someones name, so there wouldn't be that confusion.

Not sure where you formed this from. Please explain as I would like to understand.

Yep, I think we understand each other. Other people don't agree, and that's okay. Many people do just as you recommended, but I foolishly chose a user name when I registered that provided more info. than in retrospect was really wise or necessary, not that there have been any problems that I know of. If I had it to do all over again, I think I would have made my campus and group affiliation less obvious.
I agree with some others that it's foolish to stereotype a group based on one person's actions or ideas, especially one on an anonymous message board, but I also know that how I regard groups is at least somewhat based on the people who I know in the group and how they act. Why chance the impression you're making of you and your group, over someone's reaction to the advice you gave? People will find out soon enough whether you know of what you speak. That's all I meant originally.
Just a heads up: I suspect that this might get ugly/uglier because Tom has joined the thread. I'm not trying to make you shut up, but I'd just let it go, unless you just want dramatic and hostile back and forth over not much.

Hostile towards me or other GC-ers...I don't really understand what he posted, the sentences don't make sense. But I've seen enough signatures that include his name to know that I don't want any part in the battle between him and others. Theres already enough drama/hostility over nothing in this thread.

Does he normally post on Sorority recruitment threads? Seems rather odd.

I don't know much about things Greek...but is it normal for a guy to claim he is an expert in things pertaining to sororities?
And does he normally drink before he types?

Please check out my signature. He tries to call me out on it everytime I post. It's getting to be quite funny.
