I used to work with a woman who would call her man, now husband, when she got to work, when she went to lunch, when she was done with lunch, and when she was leaving work. He would get pissed if she didn't check in at least those four times. He always had to know where she was at any given time. She could not leave work to go out to eat because he wouldn't like that idea! I never could figure out what made me more upset. The fact that he demanded that kind of behavior or the fact that she thought it was just fine.
I'd rather stay single than deal with that crap.
