The chapter at the Univ. of S. Carolina has a dessert called Kappa Delight, and the recipe is only given to alums. The seniors are given the recipe at the Senior Tea in anticipation of their impending alum status. It's a big deal--the seniors can hardly wait to finally get the recipe. I've made Kappa Delight for recruitment and other special occasions, but the chapter doesn't serve it for recruitment anymore (I think they might serve it at the Bid Day party though).
Kappa Delight is so absolutely scrumptious! It's chocolatey, gooey, and nutty--YUM!!! Funny thing, everyone's turns out a little differently--I think that's pretty neat and symbolic of our individuality.
I don't know of any food that is Kappa-specific though, and Kappa Delight is only done at our USC chapter as far as I know.

We have a certain punch we serve at theme night. DG does too...but their recipe is secret (alums get it). Ours isn't.

At my chapter we had something called Kappa dessert that we would have for "important" formal dinners: scholarship banquet, Founders Day, Initiation, etc...
All it was was an oreo crust, mint chip ice cream softened and spread over the crust, chocolate syrup drizzled on top and then refrozen. Super easy, but we always looked forward to having it.

That sounds very similar to my chapter's ADPi desert served once a year for fall initiation. From what I remember, it is oreo crust, chocolate pudding, chocolate chips, and other stuff.

When I was pledging, our chapter president made the best tasting strawberry lemonade. It was served at most of the events.

Yeah. Maybe it's just a chapter thing. At least...that's what they tell us (that it's secret). It's pretty amazing tasting stuff.

On our campus, GPhiB has the Tomato food known to them...at least for Greek Week...They have a girl dressed as a Tomato and I dunno exactly why but something as a girl ..."Peel that tomato and take a bite" type of thing I can't remember the rest of the chant but as soon as I can I will post it!

It could be from 'Go Bananas"..
Go bananas! Go, go bananas!
Go bananas! Go, go bananas!
Lean to the left! Lean to the right!
Peel your banana, and UNH! Take a bite!

Red Hot Tomatoes
Or it could be related to a cheer from the 80s -
We're Gamma Phi Betas (Uh!)
We're red hot tomatoes! (Uh!)
We get all the boys
We treat 'em like toys,
We're Gamma Phi Betas (Uh!)
Somewhere I have a really cute Gamma Phi Beta/Red Hot Tomato t-shirt with a smiling tomato on it . . .where is that thing??
